Katzman Garfinkel Announces SW Florida Community Association Board Member Certification Class

Katzman Garfinkel , the leader in community association law in the state of Florida, invites Southwest Florida community association Board members and managers to attend its FREE Board Member Basics Class on Thursday, March 15th, from 10 am to 12 noon, at The Club at Olde Cypress in Naples.

A fresh, lively and fun learning experience, KG&B’s Board Member Basics Class fully meets the State of Florida’s Board Member certification requirements for new condominium Board members and provides Florida licensed Community Association Managers (CAMs) with two (2) hours of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Part of the law firm’s Board Member Certification Series of educational courses, Board Member Basics is taught by Katzman Garfinkel Partner Raymond A. Piccin, who was recently appointed to lead Southwest Florida operations through Katzman Garfinkel’s Naples and newly inaugurated Fort Myers offices.

Board Member Basics covers all the basics of serving on a Florida community association Board of Directors. Topics covered apply to Florida community associations of all types, including condominiums, cooperatives, homeowners associations (HOAs) and mobile home and timeshare communities. Participants learn all the ins-and-outs of vendor negotiations, financial reporting and budget preparation, collection strategies, proper meeting notices and elections, preventing fraud, and much more! Refreshments will be served.
